Randall Smith

Mr. Randall Scott Smith, 58, passed away Thursday, May 27,2021. Randy was born July 29,1962 in Forsyth County to William D. Smith and Jean Wooten. He loved spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He served in the United States Air Force. He was employed twelve years by Double D Construction Services Inc. Randy had a passion for softball, racing, and golf. In addition, he enjoyed coaching his grandchildren’s sports teams. Randy is preceded in death by his father, William D. “Bill” Smith and a special grandmother, Doris Wooten. He is survived by his son, Ryan Smith (Alycia); two daughters, Genna Hamilton (Daniel) and Miranda Marshall (Brent); six grandchildren with a seventh due in June; mother, Jean Wooten; bonus mom, Judy Smith; three brothers, Ricky Smith (Sherry), Billy Smith (Meghan) and Andy Smith (Belinda); three sisters, Renee Smith (Gordon), Robin Shoemaker (Mike), and Elyse Ferguson (Troy), longtime companion, Cathy Cruthers; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  In addition, RayRay left behind special friends, JD, Brian, and Bo as well as his loving dog, CoCo. A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church in King with Rev. Scott Vernon and Bro. Jerry Mathis officiating. The burial will immediately follow the service at Smith Cemetery in Lawsonville, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the church.
