Michael Westerberg

Mr. Michael Brian Westerberg, 40, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021.

Mike was born April 29, 1980 in Forsyth County to Robert William Westerberg and Elizabeth Grayson Westerberg.  He had a passion for football, playing for the Mt. Tabor Spartans where he was also on the wrestling team.  He enjoyed woodworking and had recently begun making custom pieces.  Mike had an incredible sense of humor and loved to spend time with his kids, who meant the world to him.  He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Albert and Joan Westerberg; maternal grandparents, Jess and Elizabeth Grayson; and first cousin, Patrick Whelan.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Jada Westerberg and Alysa Westerberg; son, Michael Brian Westerberg, Jr.; mother, Liz Westerberg; sister, Stacey Westerberg; brother, Bobby Westerberg; lifelong best friend, Shannon Ruffin; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; a newborn great niece; and many beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 2 – 4 PM at the Masonic Center of Winston-Salem, 4537 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC  27104.
