Jimmie Avery, Jr.

Mr. Jimmie Lee Avery Jr left this world, in a hurry, to move on to bigger and better things on the night of April 10, 2021.  Son of Mary Nadine Wiley Avery, Jimmie was born Septemeber 18, 1947 in Charlotte.  Jimmie enjoyed hunting, carp fishing (best carp dough this side of Belews Creek), horseshoes and poker. Jimmie was an unpredictable wild card, an avid lover of yard sales, pawn shops, flea markets, short shorts, knickknacks, bb guns and Gun Smoke.  Jimmie was brutally honest and never cared what anyone else thought of him.  He loved to watch tv and his favorite time was Bo-time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Annie Russell.   Along with ex-wives, Pat Anderson and Karen Griffin, Jimmie is survived by one sister, Brenda Avery Kemp:  his children: James Brown (Heidi), Dale Avery, Clifton Avery, Kari Fortune (Jason), Lindsay Decker (Jason) and Braylin Ellison.  Jimmie is also survived by all his beautiful grandchildren: Emma Brown, Avery Brown, Eva Avery, Lyla Fortune and Grayson Hecht.  Jimmie was one of a kind and will be missed.  His mama called him home, so he ran.  We miss you already Deddy.  Your legacy lives on through story.  There will be no formal services held at this time.
