Dorothy Browder

Dorothy “Dot” Sealey Browder, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on February 2, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1938, to Dannie Emerson Sealey and Bertha Webster Sealey in Dillon, SC.  Dot was preceded in death by her parents, her Loving husband of 55 years, Grady Odell Browder; and her 9 brothers and 2 sisters.  Surviving are her three daughters, Debra B. Cooper (Tom), Jane B. Myers (Lee Carter), and Cheryl B. McBride (Todd); five grandchildren, Jones C. Myers (Carla), Tiffany Caudle (James), Alanna Jacome (CJ), Mikayla McBride and Mariah McDonald (Rob); 13 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.

Dot was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She was a Faithful member of Goldfloss Baptist Church for over 50 years.  There, she served in a variety of roles including Pianist, Sunday School Teacher, and Treasurer.  She was a strong woman of Faith and shared her Faith with everyone.  She Loved everyone and was Passionate in Sharing the Love & Gospel of Christ.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Bro. Clayton Reid and Rev. John Sealey officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff of Trellis Supportive Care who provided such great care to Dot and support to the family. Special thanks to Darla Hoots for her loving care and attention to Dot’s needs.
