Zettie Deal Moody

Mrs. Zettie Deal Moody, 93, died peacefully Monday Morning, May 3, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and a dear friend to many who will be sorely missed. She was born in High Point, NC on March 19, 1917, to the late Leonard and Bertha Haney Deal. She was an active member of Union Cross Moravian Church until her health prevented her from attending. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Walter Glenn Moody; brothers, Charles, Joe, Roy, J.D., Paul, Leon, Dwight, and Larry Deal; and one sister, Thelma Meekins. She is survived by a daughter, Anita Scott and husband Jim whom she said was more of a son that a son-in-law; a granddaughter, Karen Scott Norford, all of Lexington; and her two precious and dearly loved great granddaughters, Audrey and Crystal Norford, whom lovingly referred to her as ""Moo Moo""; sisters-in-law, Janice Deal, Erica Deal, and Irma Deal; and many nieces and nephews that she loved so much. Funeral services will be held at Union Cross Moravian Church on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Don Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the church graveyard. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank her doctors, Gail Marion and Frank Caruso of WFU Baptist Medical Center and Judy Sears and staff of Forsyth Medical Center for their wonderful care for her and to all the doctors and nurses at WFU Baptist Medical Center during her stay in the hospital for the good care that she received.
