Zerilda Sells Matlock

Mrs. Zerilda Sells Matlock, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Clemmons Village II Assisted living in Clemmons. She was born in Forsyth County on May 17, 1918 to the late Ernest Charles Sells and Pansy Mae Buckner Sells. Mrs. Matlock was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville and was a Sunday School teacher for the senior class for many years. She volunteered her time at Forsyth Medical Center as a ""Pink Lady"" where she received her lifetime volunteer pin. Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Jolly Matlock and a daughter, Nancy Jane Matlock. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Carter and husband Edsel and Becky Tesh and husband Byron, two sons, David Matlock and wife Judy and Larry Matlock and wife Bonnie, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, C.V. Matlock and wife Ruby. Funeral services for Mrs. Matlock will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. Terry Rausch officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:00- 2:00 prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to, First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Clemmons Village II and a very special thank you to Melinda Ball for the love and care shown to their mother
