Yolanda Fearrington Pierce

Mrs. Yolanda Fearrington Pierce, 51, went to be with her Lord on October 24, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on October 12, 1963 to the late George and Wanda Petty Fearrington. Yolanda graduated from West Forsyth High School. She was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church, where she attended a women's group bible study, and volunteered for numerous activities. Even though Yolanda was an only child, she always said she had lots of brothers and sisters in Christ. She was preceded in death (less than a month ago) by her loving husband of 30 years Talmadge ""Tal"" Pierce. Yolanda is survived by daughter Odyssey Pierce, and her grandson Ryder Piece who was the light of Yolanda's (GiGi's) life, both of the home; Aunt Ann Fearrington and family; three sister in laws, Teri Voss (Lawrence), DeeDee Pierce (Donald Truell) and Risti Joyce; four nieces; one nephew; four great nieces and one great nephew on the way; the Petty family; and a best friend Jeannie Barton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 27, 2014 at Lewisville Baptist Church with Dr. George D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family would like to give a special thank you to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all of their love, kindness and compassion shown to Yolanda. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lewisville Baptist Church Children's Playground Fund, 125 Lewisville Clemmons Road, Lewisville, NC 27023.
