Worley Gene Davis

Mr. Worley Gene Davis, 72, went home to be with the Lord and reunite with the love of his life on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Kingsport, VA on August 21, 1942 to the late Ethel Mae Davis and Raymond Enos Davis. Mr. Davis retired from IMC Fertilizer Group, Inc. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Lucy Grubbs Davis; and one daughter, Linda Hauser. He is survived by one daughter, Susan Moser (Jeff); two grandchildren, Janie Brady and Billy Byrd, Jr.; four great-grandchildren: Jonathan & Joshua Porter and Daniel & Hannah Byrd; three brothers: Harold, Don, and Lester Davis; one sister, Mabel Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26 at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Walkertown, NC with Pastor Gary Styers officiating.
