Winferd Mark Alan Browning, 52, who never saw a cat he didn't love and who treasured his mother as his best friend for a lifetime, died June 15, 2013, at his home in Kernersville, N.C. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley, S.C., where he will be buried in the family plot of his maternal grandparents and near his paternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Wilt and Joyce Browning, sisters Jennifer Tapp and Vicky Long and her husband, Mike, all of Kernersville, and by brothers and sisters-in-law Ken and Theresa Browning of Hendersonville and Andy and Crystal Browning of the Arcadia community of Davidson County. He also is survived by eight nephews. Mark was a graduate of East Forsyth High School and he worked for a time at Felice Hosiery in Kernersville before suffering permanent disability. In addition to his love for all of his family, Mark's passions included his outspoken objections to cruelty to animals in any forms.
