Wilson Eugene Bowles

Mr. Wilson Eugene (Gene) Bowles, 63, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth Co. on December 27, 1951 the son of Reese Wilson (R.W.) Bowles and Lucile Covington Bowles. Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him. He retired from North Forsyth High School as a teacher, coach and Assistant Athletic Director. He coached the football, baseball and wrestling teams. Prior to North Forsyth he taught at North Stokes High School. Gene was preceded in death by his father, R.W. Bowles. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice (Jan) Horne Bowles of the home, two sons; Jamie Bowles (Laurie) of King and Bryan Bowles (Candice) of King, three granddaughters; Cameron, Ryley and Addison, a sister; Nancy Tutterow (Johnny) of Denver, NC and numerous nieces and a nephew. A memorial service will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Rural Hall Moravian Church with The Reverend Dr. Carl Arrington officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
