Mrs. Wilma Jean Neubach, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; and her husband, Bill, the love of her life. They shared many wonderful years together and loved traveling, especially to the beach, enjoying the sand, the sun and dancing The Shag. Wilma will be remembered as a loving, caring person who enjoyed life to its fullest. She courageously fought a six-year battle with cancer.
Wilma is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Stewart (Jack) and Katherine Hopkins (David); stepchildren, Jann Martin (Charlie) and Bill Neubach. In addition, seven grandchildren, Heather Spears, Amanda Money (Rick), Sarah Hopkins, Madyson Hopkins, Matthew Hopkins, Laurie Martin, and Tim Martin (Heather). Also, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A public open viewing will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A public graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Crestview Memorial Park, 6850 University Parkway, Rural Hall, NC with Rev. Doug Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Services, lung cancer, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Trinity Methodist Church, 3819 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
