Wilma McPherson Thompson

Kernersville - Wilma Ann McPherson Thompson passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Britthaven of Kernersville. Mrs. Thompson was born March 15, 1918 in Alamance Co. to the late Henry Clay and Essie Williams McPherson. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Lacy Thompson and a son James Clayton Thompson. Surviving are; two sons, Lacy Thompson and wife Shirley of Haw River, NC, Albert Thompson and wife Betty of Burlington, NC, a daughter; Dolly Thompson of Winston Salem, a daughter in law Larena of Graham, NC, and a brother; F.C. McPherson of Snow Camp, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Abundant Grace Tabernacle by Rev. Mike Jefferson. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 28, 2009 at Rock Creek United Methodist Church in Snow Camp.
