Willis Bodenhamer, Jr.

Mr. Willis Lee Bodenhamer, Jr., age 76, passed away September 29, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born in Forsyth County to the late Willis Lee Bodenhamer, Sr. and Lena Shouse Bodenhamer.  Mr. Bodenhamer was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a good friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, Oleen Turner Bodenhamer, he is survived by one son, Willis Lee Bodenhamer III (Michelle); two grandsons, Garrett and Justin Bodenhamer; one brother, Randy Bodenhamer (Jane); two sisters, Peggy White (Don) and Susan Rumley (Ken). He was a faithful and active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for almost 40 years. He served in the US Air Force, and had a successful career including co-owner of H&B Tire Co., worked at Logan Heating and Air and Rainbow Printing.  He dearly loved his bride and they were inseparable.   He loved his family and spending time with them. He loved raising and riding horses and showing them with his son, an avid country and bluegrass music fan, sports fan, and he truly strived to live life to its fullest. The family would also like to extend special thanks to Dr. Andrew Schneider and staff, and Dr. Heather Shearer and staff for their caring and concerned treatment during his battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall.
