Willie Aaron Tyson, Jr.

Mr. Willie Aaron Tyson, Jr., 84, of Pfafftown passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Tyson was born in Macon, GA on August 29, 1926 to Willie Aaron and Sarah Sparks Tyson. Mr. Tyson served in the US Army during WWII and had retired from the US Postal Service as Post Master General in Merrick Long Island, NY. Mr. Tyson was preceded in death by two sons, William R. Tyson and Kelvin L. Tyson. He is survived by his loving wife, Bessie Tyson; a son Brian Tyson; a daughter Sheila Reynolds; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Union Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Konnie G. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
