Willie Mae Stewart Powers

WINSTON SALEM-Mrs. Willie Mae Stewart Powers, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 08, 2010. She was born May 11, 1933 in Forsyth Co. to the late Percy D. and Ellen Farmer Stewart. Mrs. Powers was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Ned Rodger Powers. Surviving are her sister, Violet Stewart Southern of Winston Salem; her beloved niece, Toyce Southern; brothers-in-law, John P. Southern, and twin brother of Ned, Ted Powers of Oak Ridge; and her sweet kitties, Sambo and P.T. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, December 10, 2010 at Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug Watts officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Terry Motsinger, 270 Motsinger Dr., Winston Salem, NC 27107.
