Willie Mae Dunn Petree

Mrs. Willie Mae Dunn Petree, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on April 10, 1927 to the late W.H. and Sallie Satterfield Dunn. Mrs. Petree was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women. She retired from Hunter Publishing Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother and sister and a son, Keith. She is survived by her husband Charles Herman Petree, 1 daughter, Karen Drake of Winston-Salem, 2 sons, Rick Petree and his wife Sharon of Pfafftown and Charles Petree of Winston-Salem. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Heath, Hayley, Danielle, George, John and Halle and one sister Lib Hemrick and her husband Bill of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
