Willie Earnest Haneline, Jr.

Mr. Willie Earnest Haneline Jr., 61, of Clemmons died unexpectedly Friday, December 12, 2008 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. Earnest was born on July 1, 1947 in Forsyth Co, to Willie E. Haneline, Sr. and Grace Pettyjohn Morgan. He attended WSFCS and served in the US Navy stationed at Holy Lochs, Scotland. On December 5, 1973 he married Patty Itami. Their marriage was later blessed with the birth of a wonderful son, Matthew. Earnest was employed by Piedmont Airlines, US Airways, and Timco as an aviation mechanic. Aside from being a skilled mechanic, Ernest was a talented craftsman. His talents included wood carving, creating stained glass designs, and a myriad of other fine crafts. Regardless of the hard work and time that went into his creations, Ernest always shared his gifts with others. His art will forever remind those that loved him of his unselfish heart. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Patty and son Mathew of the Home. Cousin Pat (Randy) Brown, daughter Christine (James) Dudgeon, son Charlie (Robyn) Brown; and Special friends Marsha and Mickey Earnhardt and their children, Marcie (Scott) Smith, Monica (Rod) Poindexter, and Mark (Jo) Earnhardt; and Karen and Donald Kiger and son Cory Welch. Also Earnest's extended family and friends at US Airways, Timco, and US Airways Reservation ticketing department. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton will be officiating the service.
