William "Pa" Davis

Kernersville – William Sanford Davis, 72, passed away peacefully and entered eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at his home. William was born on May 5, 1950, in Forsyth County to the late Andrew and Jettie Davis. He was an active member of Missions Baptist Church. William worked as a district manager at McLean's Trucking, Piedmont Concrete, and EPES Trucking before retiring.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Karen Davis; two sons, Andrew “AJ” Davis (Beverly) and William P. Davis; six grandchildren, Hunter Davis (Shelley), Jamie Davis, Grant Davis, Shane Davis, Abigail Kinley, and Gabriella Kinley; one great-grandchild, Hunter Davis, Jr. "Super Dude"; one sister, Jane Angel (Gary), one brother, Mark Davis (Kathryn); and many nieces and nephews.

At William’s request, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastors David Keaton and Eric Combs officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Baptist Church, 407 Walkertown-Guthrie Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
