William "Bill" Anthony Kiger

Mr. William “Bill” Anthony Kiger, 83, passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021, in his home. He was born September 4, 1938, in Anson County NC to the late Rufus Arthur Kiger and Doris Owen Kiger. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957-1961. Bill had a love for sports that he showed through coaching and being on board of directors for North Forsyth Little League for over 25 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and watching NASCAR as well as other sports. He retired from RJ Reynolds with 34 ½ years of service. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by seven siblings; Mary West (JL), Clarence Kiger (Rosanelle), Paul Kiger, Peggy Newsome (Bruce), Karen Starling, and Thomas Kiger, a brother-in-law; Arthur Patterson, and a stepdaughter Wendy Horn. He is survived by his loving wife; Carolyn Kiger, two sons; Dale Kiger (Debbie) and Jeffrey Kiger (Debbie), a stepson; Eddie Horn (Genny), nine grandchildren; Taylor Kiger, Brandon Kiger (Cassey), Gabrielle Kiger (Jay), Brody Kiger, Keisha Lindsay (Paul), Jarryd Moxley(Genna), Madison Horn, Jacob Adkins, and Justin Adkins; six great-grandchildren; Eleanor Samuels, Stella Lindsay, Amelia Lindsay, Nola Moxley, Clara Moxley, and Carsyn Mikles, a sister; Helen Patterson, a brother Edward Kiger, a sister-in-law Brigette Kiger, a brother-in-law Ronald Starling. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 Am Friday November 5, 2021, at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Jim Newsome officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
