William Yates Jr.

Mr. William Harvey Yates, Jr., 83, passed away, Friday, April 1, 2022, at his home. He was born March 9, 1939, in Forsyth County to the late William Harvey Yates, Sr. and Hazel Mackie Yates. William helped many families with his business taking care of lawns, landscaping, and any other outdoor needs. He also loved fishing of all kinds. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Steven Daniel Yates and his two sisters, Cynthia “Marie” Yates Bowen and Grace Manring. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Bernice Yates; children, John Yates (Dorothy) and April Yates; three grandchildren, Patience Yates; Angela Yates and Aiden Yates; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2022, at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC with Rev. Roy Martin officiating.
