William “David” Wiles was called home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1942, and was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Garris Wiles; father, William “Jake” Wiles; sisters, Betty Randleman and Judy Wiles; brother, Bobby Joe Wiles; son, Tony Middleton; and Jack Russell terrier, Buddy Boy. Those who will someday be reunited with David in Heaven, include his wife, Jane Wiles; daughters, Sara Wiles and Faith (Cameron) Melara; sons, Randy (Renee) Wiles and Mike (Casey) Middleton; grandchildren, Tiffany (Tyler) Sink, Emily Wiles, who was David’s caretaker during his final months, Jonathan Pyrtle, Lacy Hanks, Lila Melara, Ashley (Amanda) Davis, Lindsay (Dalton) Reynolds, Adam (Lauren) Middleton, and Willow Middleton; and great grandchildren, Ty, Brooklyn, and Blakely Sink, Macie, Aubrey, Everly, and Avery Carter, Bud Tolbert, and Ayda Reynolds. David had a passion for teaching the Word of God. He preached at numerous churches, homes, and prisons over the course of several decades, winning over countless hearts for Christ. David’s love of spreading the Good News had no limit. He would set up a tent in the middle of a field if it meant he could talk to others about Jesus. David’s final message to his family before leaving this world was that he would be waiting for them under the tree of life. His loved ones find comfort in knowing that he has gone to a city where the roses never fade. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 8th at 11 AM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory in Rural Hall. Services will be led by Rev. Randall Smith and Rev. Bobby Jenkins immediately following.
