William "Dean" Wall

William ""Dean"" Wall passed away July 30, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Dean was born Jan. 22, 1948 to William B. Wall and Bessie Johnson Wall in Forsyth County. He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1967, then, went on to serve in the U.S. Army. Dean was retired from his own business as a painting contractor. With a servant's heart, he served his church in several capacities including Youth Director, Deacon, Usher, and Sunday School Teacher. But most of all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Wall; and two sisters, Sylvia Anita Wall Evans and Patricia Darlene Wall Jenkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Kay Hensdale Wall; sons, Tommy Wall (Christy), Jerry Dean Wall (Kristi); grandchildren, Bradley, Brittany, Madison, Ayden, and Kaylin Wall; a brother, W.R. Wall (Judy); as well as many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ronnie and Donna Evans. A military graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Michael Duffield officiating.
