William "WA" Allen Johnson

William “WA” Allen Johnson passed away on November 29, 2024, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 

WA was born on February 3, 1948, in Fayetteville, NC, to Willie and Marjorie Johnson. He worked in telecommunications his entire career and retired from Ronco Communications. 

WA loved playing golf. In retirement, he enjoyed working as a cart boy at Oak Valley Golf Club in Advance, NC. He also loved his family and his dogs. He was a lifelong fan of the Duke Blue Devils and the New York Yankees. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ronnie and Derril; and sister, Patricia Ann. 

WA is survived by his loving wife, Jeral; his son, Stephen (Alicia); his daughter, Meredith Bryant (Shannon); and granddaughters, Harper Johnson and Morgan Bryant (fiancé Chase Turney). 

A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
