PINNACLE Mr. William Gray Thompson, 86, passed away Tuesday, may 29, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born April 25, 1926 in Forsyth County the son of the late Derphy Gray Thompson and Irene Sprinkle Thompson. Mr. Thompson was of the Baptist faith and worked at Veterans Upholstery in Winston-Salem for 50 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Annie Cason Thompson, two daughters, Olivia Sidden (Elmo) of Pinnacle and Sharon Turner (Alvin) of Germanton, four grandchildren, Connie Caldwell (Neil) of Kernersville, Shannon Turner (Shannon) of Kernersville, Carla Burcham (Rodney) of Pinnacle and Terry Turner of Germanton, seven great-grandchildren, Brittney Caldwell, Mearl Turner, Brycen Burcham, Mason Turner, Addison Burcham, Anabelle Turner and Wesley Waldon Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Kevin Broyhill and Rev. Vic Pyles officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
