William "Terry" Wood

Mr. William “Terry” Wood, age 83 of Advance, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 29, 1941 in Davie County to the late William Henry Wood and Mildred Hazel Myers Wood. Terry retired in 1995 with 38 years of service from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and was owner of Woods lawn care service with more than 20 years experience. He was preceded in death by one son, Gerry Wood; and one daughter, Debra “Debbie” Wood Cranfill. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Stewart Wood of the home; one daughter, Sandra Coble; and one son, Kenny Wood, both of Advance; one sister, Glenda Craft; two grandsons, Zachary Cranfill (Cynthia) and Casey Cranfill; a very special granddaughter, Stefanie Baker; as well as a son-in-law, Scott Cranfill. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Macedonia Moravian Church by the Rt. Rev. Sam Gray. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
