William Isaac Terrell

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. William Isaac Terrell, 82, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. William was born March 8, 1930 in Stokes County to the late Jesse and Ruth Mitchell Terrell. He served in the US Army and retired from Pilot Freight Trucking Company. William was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church where he was very active with the Bus Ministry. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Shirley Beeson Terrell; two daughters, Debbie Terrell Spring (husband, Gary) of Kernersville and Sherry Terrell Evans (husband, Larry) of Oak Ridge; three grandchildren, Nicholas Dasnoit of Oak Ridge, Kaitlin Spring of Chapel Hill, and Hannah Spring of Kenya, Africa; one sister, Mildred Terrell Harper of Clemmons and his beloved dog, Patsy. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
