Mr. William James ""Bill"" Tandy, 84, of Bermuda Run passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Bermuda Village. He was born April 19, 1926 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Fred Calvin and Marie Martin Tandy. Bill was a member of Clemmons Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1950. In 1952, he joined Standard Oil of Indiana (Amoco). He retired from Amoco in 1985 and moved to Hilton Head Island where he lived for 20 years until moving to Bermuda Village in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Lois Miller Fullerton Tandy; three daughters, Katherine F. Dollaske and husband K. Robert, Sally F. LaBarbera and husband Mark and Martha T. Malnor and husband Larry; two sons, William J. Tandy, Jr. and David H. Fullerton and wife Susan; a half brother, Gary Tandy and ten grandchildren, Kara and Kenneth Dollaske, Matthew, Timothy and Sarah LaBarbera, Michael and David Malnor and Tom, Paul and Charlotte Fullerton. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Bermuda Village. The family will receive friends following the service.
