William ""Bill"" Samuel Spach, 89, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Clyde, Fred, Floyd and James. Bill was born August 5, 1926 in Forsyth County to Robah and Virginia Spach. He was a longtime member of Hope Moravian Church. He retired from Piedmont Airlines as a mechanic in 1988.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Avis Crater Spach; one daughter, Gail Moser of King; one grandson, Robert Darin Patterson (Tara) and one granddaughter, Melissa Carico (Brian); and one sister, Elizabeth Smith. He adored his three great-grandchildren, Emma, Lauren, and Jonathon. Bill had been a resident of Village Care of King since February 2014. For many years he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his band, The Pacemakers. While working for the airlines he got to travel frequently with family and friends. He was always the designated tour guide.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2 PM at Hope Moravian Church with Pastor Andrew Heil and Pastor David Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Graveyard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
