William Bryan Shelton

William Bryan Shelton, 69, of Rural Hall was born September 23, 1943, son of William Albert Shelton and Mary Elizabeth Bryan Shelton, passed into the more immaculate presence of Jesus Christ on Monday, April 8, 2013. He was a graduate of Hanes Senior High School in 1962. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1963-1967, assigned to the Marine Corps as a Dental Technician 3rd Class. Upon discharge from the service he continued in his chosen profession in the printing industry- first as a printer for Wachovia Bank and Trust Company and then sought and found employment with the Bowman Gray School of Medicine as their Director of Printing Services for a number of years before working for Kiger Printing of Winston-Salem. He rose to the presidency of the International Association of Printing House Craftsman and was known far and wide as a master printer. He was also employed by Parkway Ford in Sales and finished his working life at Walmart on Peters Creek Parkway in the electronic department. He was a faithful member of Friedberg Moravian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John R. Shelton. He is survived by his son, Adam Bryan Shelton and his daughter-in-law, Lori Shelton of Advance; two granddaughters, Marion and Megan; his brother, G. Thomas Shelton and sister-in-law Lillian B. Shelton of Winston-Salem; a niece, Sidney Shelton Youngs of Aheville; a nephew, Thomas C. Shelton of Clearwater, FL and five grandnieces and two grandnephews. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00am at Friedberg Moravian Church. The family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at The Oaks Nursing Center.
