Mr. William ""Bill"" Emile Peloquin, 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Novant Brunswick Hospital in Supply, NC. He was born October 18, 1941 in Springfield, MA to Ulric Joseph and Anna Gilmore Peloquin. Mr. Peloquin was of the Catholic faith. He was a captain in the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 20 years of service, and was the postmaster of Tobaccoville, NC. Mr. Peloquin was an avid golfer and worked part-time at Reynolds Park Golf Course. He was also a member of the Winston-Salem Elks Lodge #449 and currently president of the N.C. Elks Association. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Pat Peloquin of the home; three daughters, Jana Varanka and husband Bill of Carmel, IN, Lora Peloquin of Chicago, IL, and Andra Mason of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Caitlin, and Kellie Varanka, and Christian Mason; two sisters, Dianne Messenger of Ludlow, MA and Nancy Beaudet of Belchertown, MA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Sam Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Elks Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2585, Griffith Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
