William Frank Pellegrini, 76, experienced his spiritual resurrection on April 21, 2024, as the arms of angels carried him to his heavenly home and into the arms of Jesus. Frank’s family celebrates his spiritual resurrection as a devoted Christian. He was born to Frank William and Annie Fulcher Pellegrini in Wilmington, NC. Frank attended North Forsyth High School and received his teaching degree from Appalachian State University. Frank spent his career as a as a teacher and coach guiding young people to the Lord and helping them mature into adults. Frank also served as Athletic Director at several schools he taught at including Pilot Mountain Middle School, Pilot Mountain, NC. Frank taught at: North Davidson High School, Lexington, NC, Woodlawn Middle School, Woodlawn, VA, Cape Hatteras High School, Buxton, NC, Basset High School, Basset, VA, Roper Middle School, Roper, NC, Surry Central High School, Dobson, NC, and Pilot Mountain Middle School, Pilot Mountain, NC. where he spent the last twenty years of his career. He loved all his students as family and was always willing and available to help them in time of need. Frank would help anyone who needed help, even at his own expense. Frank truly lived his life as expressed in Matthew 25:40, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Frank was the hands and feet of Jesus in all areas of his life. He has now heard Matthew 25:21 “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” as spoken by his Lord and Savior upon receiving Frank into His arms. Frank loved Hatteras. It was his place of solace. He dearly loved the island. Frank is survived by his brother, Bobby L. Pellegrini, who lovingly cared for him the last several years of his life. Bobby also helped Frank with coaching at Cape Hatteras HS. He is also survived by his cousins, Marlene Kumor of Burke, VA, Deloris Jennette of Buxton, NC, and Danny Bass of Greenville, SC. Frank attended First Baptist Church Stanleyville. A homegoing and celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at 12:00PM with Pastor Virgil Dwyer and Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
