William "Bud" Edward Moffitt

Mr. William ""Bud"" Edward Moffitt, 76, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home. He was born October 5, 1940 in Forsyth County to Polly Yates Moffitt and John Dee Moffitt. Mr. Moffitt was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy; a great-granddaughter, Riley Clarke. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Doris Ziglar Moffitt; three daughters, Tammy Gabard and husband Randy, Kimberly Spillman and Paula Moore and fiancé Chris Sharpe; one son, William Moffitt; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Susie and Debbie; two brothers, Terry and Wayne and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
