Mr. William Wyatt Meadows, 86, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1927 in Cedar Town, Georgia to J.B. and Ethel Brown Meadows. Mr. Meadows was an active member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, where he previously served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and on numerous committees. He loved working in his yard, as well as being an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He was also a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his brother, Buford Meadows. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Alma Proctor Meadows; two sons, William Wyatt Meadows, Jr. and wife, Lisa and Timothy Mark Meadows; two granddaughters, Brittany Meadows Webb and husband, Tyler and Shannon Meadows. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Cecil Cave and Dr. Gus Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
