William "Bill" LeRoy Meadows

Mr. William ""Bill"" LeRoy Meadows, 69, of Advance, NC passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Bill was born on June 9, 1946 in Forsyth County to Coyte Edward Meadows and Virginia Grubbs Meadows. He attended First Christian Church in Clemmons, NC where he was an active member and a past deacon. He retired from RJReynolds with 34 years of loyal service. Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the US Army with the 312th EVAC Hospital. He coached JV softball for Davie High School for 17 years. Above all else, Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Meadows; two daughters, Billie Michelle Kennedy and husband Robert of Mocksville and Robin Denise Meadows of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Lydia and Elijah Kennedy; one sister, Sue Cole and husband Don of Mocksville; two brothers, Eddie Meadows and wife Joan of Clemmons and Mike Meadows and wife Bambi also of Clemmons. A funeral service for Bill will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Brother Ronnie Craddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 7pm until 9pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. The family would like to express thanks to the staff of the 7th Floor CCU Unit of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
