William Mckenna

Mr. William "Bill" Alan McKenna, 88, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his home. He was born May 30, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to Florence Rhem William McKenna. Bill was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and an avid golfer and family man. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Mattmiller McKenna; one daughter, Beth Fitzgerald; three sons, Bruce McKenna, Bill McKenna (Maria) and Jim McKenna; six grandchildren, Matt Fitzgerald, Renee Arazie, Kelly Oglesby, Patrick McKenna, Morgan McKenna and Carter McKenna and five great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church/School or to Hospice. (Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel)
