William Martin "Bill" Massey

William Martin ""Bill"" Massey, 71, passed into the more immediate presence of his Lord on June 17, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on December 8, 1943 to William Edgar Massey and Sarah Ruth Vernon Massey in Forsyth County. Bill worked as a machinist at John H. Harland in Greensboro, NC. He was a WWII history buff and loved airplanes of that era. He loved woodworking and his collection of tools. He crafted beautiful wooden furniture for his home; and also enjoyed cars. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Massey Jones. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra White Massey; daughter, Tracy Massey Clark (Bill); granddaughter, Emily Clark; and sister, Sylvia Massey Mock. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. James Newsome and Rev. Dan Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon.
