William Billy Ralph Linthicum Sr.

Mr. William ""Bill"" Ralph Linthicum, Sr., 84, passed away Friday, August 07, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1925 in High Point, NC to the late Samuel Avery and Jettie Martin Linthicum. Mr. Linthicum was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII and later retired from Southern Graphics as the owner and operator. He will always be remembered for his life long passion for golf. Preceding him in death was his wife Louise Stroud Linthicum. Surviving are two sons, Billy Linthicum and wife Angelina of Pfafftown and Chuck Linthicum and wife Sharon of Cary, NC; two daughters, Susan Wainscott and husband Ron Snead of Clemmons and Lou Anne Groce and husband Robert of Winston-Salem; 5 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Cook of Trinity, NC and Avery Shaw of Greenwood, SC. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
