William Edward 'Bill' Lee

Mr. William Edward ""Bill"" Lee, age 64 of Advance, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born December 28, 1946 in Kinston, NC to the late Raymond and Josephine Swindell Lee. He worked in the Airline Industry for 39 years, coached and umpired at Southwest Forsyth Little League for 22 years and was proud to have served his country in the US Army. He is remembered as a beloved husband, devoted father and a tremendous man. We celebrate Bill's life and the many lives he made richer through his counsel, strength, leadership, encouragement and devotion. Best friend, forthrightness, fortitude, courage and honorable are words that describe a few of Bill's attributes. Bill made it his job to be the best husband and father first. He passionately loved his family, friends, pets, coaching and umpiring baseball. His death leaves a painful void in the lives of those who loved him. He was loved and will be missed beyond measure. Surviving are his wife, Tammy Chilton Lee; five children, Matthew David Lee and wife Krystal, Justin William Lee and Christian Edward Lee all of Advance and SharonLynn and William David Lee of Raleigh; one sister, Jo Ann Lee Deaver of Kinston and four loving aunts also of Kinston. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Hillsdale United Methodist Church by Rev. Jerry Webb. The family will receive friends following the service.
