William Kirkman

KERNERSVILLE – William L. Kirkman, 75, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, January 20, 2021, with his wife and son by his bedside. William was born on May 7, 1945 in Forsyth County to the late Fred and Rosemary McDonald Kirkman. He loved his job as an Airplane Mechanic, retiring from US Airways. William loved the outdoors and was also a collector of antiques, old tractors and lawn equipment. He was good with his hands and could fix almost anything.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Margaret Kirkman; a daughter, Tina Kirkman Long; a son, Gregory William Kirkman (Stacy); four grandchildren, Mike and John Long, and Shyanne and Eric Kirkman; two sisters, Rosemary Hart, and Chris Garrett; one brother, Fred Kirkman; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Chaplain Chris Morris officiating.
