William Harrell Jones

Mr. William Harrell Jones went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He was born on February 18, 1933, in Wayne County, NC, to William Nathan and Mary Elsie Wood Jones. Having served in the Korean conflict, he was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Bahnson Flaket after 33 years of service and Sears after 10 years of service. He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Esther Walters and Doris Martin. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Molly C. Jones; two daughters, Tonja Reavis (husband Dale) and Pam Tosco (husband Gary); three grandsons, Zeb Reavis (wife Tracey), Jonathan Reavis (wife Laura), and Lucas Reavis; one great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Reavis who was the apple of his eye; and a special niece, Mary Jane Walters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bush officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 9:45am-10:45am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church's Don't Mention Age (DMA) Program, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127; Grace Baptist Church's Wrapped in Prayer Quilt Ministry, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127; or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
