William Alexander Green

Mr. William Alexander Green, 75, of Mocksville passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born October 24, 1932 in Davie County to John William Sanford Green and Thursa Koontz Green. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel Channer. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Smith Green; 2 sons, Larry Green and wife Debra of Columbus and Richard Green and wife Cindy of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Cindy Channer and husband David of Boise, ID; twelve grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Greene and four sisters, Phyllis Williams, Ruth Foster, Janie Livengood and Betty Smith. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Joseph Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem United Methodist Church cemetery in Mocksville. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
