William 'Bill'' J. Foreman

Mr. William (Bill) J. Foreman, born May 25, 1941 in Coalport, PA. went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 22, 2013. Bill was the son of Ellis B. and Margaret Schmittle Foreman. He grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Portage area schools until his senior year when he joined his older brother who was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. While in Germany he graduated from General H. H. Arnold High School in 1959. Upon returning to the United States he joined the United States Air Force where he was trained and worked as a dental assistant. He was honorably discharged at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas, May 24, 1963. Bill held many positions over the years: coal miner, heavy duty equipment operator, machinist, mechanic, a construction worker where he was certified in residential electricity, plumbing, and heating, in a rock quarry, and as an income tax preparer for H & R Block. Later in life he returned to college at St. Francis where he took classes with a major in accounting. He loved to fish, hunt, and enjoyed working with his hands making beautiful woodwork and stained glass pieces including Tiffany lamps for his family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, step-brother John Robert Pantell, brothers Charles and Joseph James. He is survived by his wife Marsha Dee of the home, brother Richard and his wife Patricia of Mt. Airy, North Carolina, and Margaret (Peggy) Buttons and her husband Robert of Saginaw, Texas. Bill is the father of six children: Lawrence and his wife Maggie of Portage, William of Portage, PA, Kimberly and her husband Phil Mazzarese of Gallitzin, Raymond and his wife Diane of Portage, PA, Jamie and her husband Deron Doi of Camp Hill, PA and Dena Foreman of Gallitzin. Step children include Bill Bloom and his wife Robyn of Nanty Glo , John Donaldson and Kathryn of Sacramento, California, Dee Sorrels and her husband David of Troutdale, Oregon, James Donaldson and his wife Raysa of Sumter, South Carolina, Joseph Donaldson of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Desiree Swiney and her husband Kevan of Southgate, Michigan. Grandchildren are: Crystal, Jeffery, Alicia, Jack, Craig, Tiana, Christian, Noah, Anna Mae, Danielle, Stephanie, Larry, Christin, Madison, William, Nathan, Joshua, Jennifer, Ray, Corina, Dylan, Skylar, Nicholas, Kara, Tracy, Rachel, Isaac, Jacob, Jessica, Jimmy, Xavier, Debbie, Paige, Victoria, Alexis, Evan, Xander, and Connor. Great-Grandchildren are: Nadia, Angelina, Steven, Trey, Blaze, Andelena, Amadeo, Bailey, Elizabeth, Geoffrey, Damien, John, Harper Ray, Ryland, Ellison, Hayden, and Taylor. A memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to your favorite charity or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103, would be appreciated by the family.
