William Walker

Mr. William "Bill" Eugene Walker, 84, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday 18, 2023. He was born to the late Robert Steven Walker and Myrtle Harris Walker on October 20, 1938. William was a lifetime member and President of the local Lions Club in Davidson County. He loved to play golf and cheer for his favorite sports teams, UNC Carolina, and Wake Forest. William held numerous positions at Grace Baptist Church where he continuously volunteered his time over the years. In addition to his parents William was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Walker; sister, Martha Walker; grandson, Gray Lowman; granddaughter, Casey Tuttle; and son-in-law, Ron Templeton. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jewell Walker; son, Paul Eugene Walker; daughter, Tammy Pryde; two stepdaughters, Cindy Templeton, and Marie Tuttle (Mike); ten grandchildren; and an abundance of great and great- great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Brookshire. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday January 23, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bush officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00am to 11:00am before the service.
