Mr. William ""Bill"" Beasley Eldridge, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his home. He was born February 17, 1929 in Hamilton County, TN. to William Henry and Ruby Beasley Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. He was a member of South Fork Church of Christ, the Piedmont Civitan Club, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NC Association of Certified Public Accountants. He was retired from Cannon & Company. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Shields Eldridge, of the home; a son, Stephen W. Eldridge of Amarillo, TX.; a daughter, Tracy E. Coplen, of Wingo, Ky.; five grandchildren, Emily Eldridge, Sarah Eldridge, Jackson Eldridge, Corie Beth Coplen and Laney Coplen; and a sister, Carol Eldridge Hobbs of Chattanooga, TN.. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2010 at South Fork Church of Christ with Dr. Bill Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
