William Billy Daniel Dwight

Mr. William ""Billy"" Daniel Dwight, 23, of Winston-Salem died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Durham. He was born February 14, 1987 in Broome County, NY to Daniel G. and Mary Lindberg Dwight. Billy was a 2005 graduate of North Forsyth High School where he was Valedictorian of his class, active in the band program and was Drum Major of the marching band during his senior year. He was a member of The Squires Club at Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a 2010 graduate of Duke University where he made The Deans List for several semesters. He was a hard working gifted student with a passion for music, literature and poker. Survivors include his parents of Winston-Salem; his sister, Betsy Spillman and husband, Darren and his nephew, Liam Spillman all of Lexington; his maternal grandfather, P. William Lindberg and wife, Velma of Florida; his paternal grandmother, Betty Dwight of Syracuse, NY; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Matthew Farabow officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
