William Leon Craddock

Mr. William Leon Craddock, 77, passed away August 25, 2015.

He was born in Lawsonville to the late Ruby Jane and Sanford (Sam) Lee Craddock. In addition to his parents, Mr. Craddock was preceded in death by his lifelong best friend, and wife, Claudia Williard Craddock, and sisters, Charlotte Reed and Melba Richardson.

He is survived by his loving son, Mark Craddock (wife, Elaine) of Winston-Salem, devoted daughter, Susan Craddock Barron (husband, Ed) and (best buddy) granddaughter, Laurel Ashley Washabaugh of Lewisville.

Mr. Craddock graduated from King High School in 1956. He married Claudia Williard on February 14, 1959. He retired from Colonial Stores/Big Star after 23 years as Grocery Store Manager. He then worked for Bestway Foods for 3 years and Lowe's Foods for 3 years. Mr. Craddock had then worked for Modern Automotive Network as a Car Salesman and driver until his retirement in 2013. He was a lover of all animals. He was a ""friend"" to the Goodwill and Mission stores and his favorite hobbies were yard selling and writing poetry. He was a member of Fraternity Church of the Brethren.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, Hospice or the donor's choice.
