Mr. William Phillip Collins, 53, of Walnut Cove died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born December 5, 1961 in Surry County, the son of the late Robert Rufus and Edith Mae Willard Collins. Mr. Collins worked for Corning Company in Winston but he was most proud of being a Tobacco Farmer for many years. He loved everyone and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Anita Bolt and his nephew, Robert Bolt. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Collins of the home; two sons, Jason Turner and wife, Danielle and Joshua Bolen and one daughter, Jamie Bolen all of Walnut Cove; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Collins and Craig Collins of Pilot Mountain; four sisters, Brenda Neal and husband, Basil of Mt. Pleasant, Sylvia Rushing and husband, Vernon of Suisun, CA, Fran Collins of Winston-Salem and Kristy Collins of Pilot Mountain; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the home, 1747 Old 65 Road, Walnut Cove, NC.
