William "Bill" John Clark

Mr. William John ""Bill"" Clark, 98, of Winston-Salem, passed away at Heritage Woods early Wednesday morning on January 7, 2015.

Bill was born in Glasgow, Scotland on December 13, 1916 to Mary Kennedy and William Clark. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1923 and later to Philadelphia, PA, where he lived and worked until moving to NC in 1961. His career was in sales for Masland Duran in Mocksville and later for Morbern Industries in High Point. Bill was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Barr (Betty) Clark and brother, Andrew Stanley Clark of Somers Point, NJ.

Bill is survived by his son, William John (Bill) Clark, Jr. of Pawley's Island, SC; daughter, Betsy Clark Dawson and husband Ken of Winston-Salem; granddaughter, Lauren Amanda Bolt of Winston-Salem; and two close family friends, Kennedy Crawford and Sylvia Reader.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 5 pm - 6 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
