William Arthur Brown

Mr. William Arthur Brown, 77, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1937 in Columbus County, NC to the late Warren Wynn Brown and Lois Johnson Brown. Mr. Brown loved fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by five siblings: Warren, Mickey, Lois, Vermell, and Hulda. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rose Collins Brown; son, Jackie Brown; stepson, Richard Lee Collins (Tammy); stepdaughter, Cathy Lynn Collins Vernon (Brian); five grandchildren: Brian Vernon, Jr., Brandon Collins, Stephen Collins, Ashley Sheffield, and Brandy Collins; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Wayne Brown; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Brother Don Collins officiating.
