Wesley Willard Pendergraft

WINSTON-SALEM Mr. Wesley Willard Pendergraft passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Johnson County Community Hospital in Tennessee. He was born in Chatham County, NC on May 10, 1933 to the late Lula Mae Thomas Pendergraft and Curtis Hudson Pendergraft. Mr. Pendergraft proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 391. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pendergraft was preceded in death by his wife, Billy Jean Crow Pendergraft; son, Billy Crow; two brothers, Carlton and Robert Pendergraft; and his beloved dog, B.J. Mr. Pendergraft is survived by his four sons, Gary Leonard, Dale Pendergraft, David Pendergraft and Eddie Crow; one daughter, Cathy Dantzler; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Mac. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Keith White officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
